The Executive Chef at Pei Wei recently traveled to Ethiopia and was moved to action by what he saw…..ORPHANS! He is spearheading a trial fundraiser with Pei Wei starting today for the next two weeks (until May 16th) in every Pei Wei store in Texas and Arizona (about 70+ stores).
Go buy a yummy double chocolate chunk oatmeal cookie (and see some images of mine they are using to promote this effort) and the proceeds will go towards Orphans world wide (specifically benefiting Gladney Adoption Center).

Call ahead to order a dozen or more for your office, any get together, bible study, treat for a teacher etc. Pei Wei’s were selling out of what they had baked for the day at noon today! Let’s make an impact so that more restaurants will follow in their foot steps and see that people out there have a heart for the Orphan. (Make sure to let the folks at Pei Wei know how much you appreciate this effort when you go in!).
Thanks! Ok let’s go buy some cookies!

There is an estimated 147 Million Orphans in the world today.
Staggering.
That is 147 Million children that have lost one or both parents, most uncared for, shuffled between relatives, neighbors or orphanages or simply abandoned to fend for themselves.
The problem seems overwhelming. How can we each help? I love this quote from Mother Teresa, “”If I look at the mass, I will never act. If I look at the one, I will.”
Will you consider your role today for the sake of just ONE? There are MANY sponsorship programs for less than $40 a month, that I have personally seen are making a DIFFERENCE in orphans lives. Providing food, education, shelter and discipleship.
Here is a list of a few that I KNOW are making a difference on a very personal level! Check them out or if you would like more information, I would be happy to share all that I know – as I have seen firsthand how these ministries are helping the Orphan!
